Sketchabilities Reveal #134~

It's time for another Sketchabilities Design Team Reveal! This is the last reveal for this term, and I have loved every minute of all of the terms that I have spent with Sketchabilities!

I decided to create a layout using a photo of one of my favourite little men!!
To accent is boyish sweetness perfectly, I decided to work with the Staples III collection from JilliBean Soup. It's muted tones and geometric patterns are perfect for this little guy!

Each and every sketch created by Karan has just so much detail that can be interpreted in so many ways with a little bit of creativity.

To match some of the other kraft coloured details I added lots of natural burlap string by May Arts Ribbon.
The kraft tags, note cards and the wide kraft washi tape are all also by JilliBean Soup.

Buttons are always great embellishment accents for little boys!

Thanks you so much for stopping by to check out my Sketchabilities Reveal!

Almost a Cover Girl~

I am a Canadian Scrapbooker and proud of it!

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine is a top quality publication that is proud to publish Canadian creativity. I have been lucky enough to be published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine over the years. BUT, this time I received a message from editor Jackie Ludlage asking if I would be interested in trying for the cover of the Spring 2015 issue.
Of course I would!
10 Canadian Scrapbookers were sent a the digital image to print, and a few key journal points to include if we wanted. I didn't get the cover, but I was one of 2 chosen for inside the issue as Other Takes on the Cover. This is the layout I created using the photo.

A sweet soft layout that features only a few patterned papers from My Minds Eye.

I used some soft and sweet May Arts Ribbon. Lace & pearl, and white pom-poms. The Prima flower was perfectly pretty, to coordinate with that sweet little face.

I chose to create a simple title right on the photo, using a couple of different sticker letters.

I am proud to have been given the chance, and hopefully you recognized that "Tracy Style" in this ALMOST cover photo! Maybe next time!
Also in this issue was one of my favourite layouts I've created in the past year!

I'd like to give you all a chance to to win a copy of the Spring 2015 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and some of the ribbon that I used on my layout. Enter below through Rafflecopter!

A Little More Christmas~

Today's post is just a closer look at a recent class that I taught.
Almost every year you have that one special photo that you would like to showcase in it's own layout. Then you have ALL of those other holiday photos from parties, Christmas morning, or your holiday supper with family. Those can be scrapbooked into multi photo layouts.
This is my layout to showcase that one special photo.

I created my layout using the Merry & Bright Collection from Pink Paislee.

It also features some vibrant red knotted edge satin ribbon from May Arts, and the burlap string that is tied at the tops of the tags.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out this closer look at my Christmas layout!

Amy Tangerine: Stitched Geocacher~

Today I am sharing a pretty little layout that I created while cropping with friends.
The entire project was created using patterns from a 6x6 pad of the Amy Tangerine, Stitched collection. It was given to us as a giveaway at a crop with My Stamping Studio, in Windsor.
I simply wanted to showcase this favourite photo of mine, from a geocaching photo shoot in such a pretty field.

I used the coordinating embellishments from the same collection, and added some sparkly gold sequins.

Another added touch was this perfectly matched mint green ruffle ribbon, and the loopy yellow ribbon from May Arts.

Sketchabilities Reveal #133~

It's Reveal Day at Sketchabilities! This is the second last reveal for this term, and I have loved every single one!
For this sketch I decided to go a little vintage, and do a heritage layout using a photo of my grandmother. These patterned papers were just perfect for my photo. They are from the Art of Life Collection, by Kaisercraft. I picked them up the last time I was into The Cutting Garden.

Another fabulous sketch brought to you by Karan Gerber. I did choose to use a single photo instead of two smaller for my interpretation.

I spy some fabulous May Arts Ribbon, including knotted cream tulle, the lace and pearl ribbon, and the natural burlap string.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my Sketchabilities reveal! Be sure to stop by the Sketchabilities blog to check out all of the beautiful creations by the other designers!

May Arts Ribbon & Faber-Castell~

The May Arts Ribbonistas are getting together this week to play with some fabulous Faber-Castell goodies! Each of us have created a project with the products and have been sharing them all week long!
Here are some of the goodies that I used to create my nautical card.
Thank you so much Faber-Castell!
I created with their Whipped Spackle, Gelatos, Big Brush Pen, and Textural Accents Sampler (Gesso, Glaze and Gel Medium).

We can't forget about the texture filled ribbon that I used as well.
